Mason Creek
The Mason Creek Watershed is bounded in part by Willoughby Bay to the west and Chesapeake Boulevard to the east. This drainage area covers 5.5 square miles of Norfolk which consists of residential housing, commercial businesses and the Navy Base.
The Mason Creek Watershed experiences both tidal and precipitation stormwater events which can affect drainage. Through the City's flooding strategy, residents, city staff, the naval base and outside consultants are working to improve both water quality and quantity for all to enjoy.
